Welcome to the LYM Lab!

We are part of the Department of Medical Systems Biology at Soochow University.

Our research focuses on epigenomics and bioinformatics, with an emphasis on understanding the roles of epigenetic regulation in fundamental biological processes and disease. We develop and apply computational and multi-omics approaches to characterize epigenetic landscapes, investigate their functional and disease relevance, and translate epigenomic features into biomarkers for disease detection and precision medicine.

Our research directions include:

(1) Nucleosome Biology and Epigenetic Regulation

Investigating nucleosome organization and epigenetic regulation to understand their roles in fundamental biological processes and disease development.

(2) Cell-free DNA Epigenomics and Liquid Biopsy

Characterizing epigenetic and fragmentomic features of cell-free DNA and developing non-invasive approaches for disease detection, molecular characterization, and tissue-of-origin analysis.

(3) Computational Epigenomics and Multi-omics Methodology

Developing and evaluating computational methods for the processing, analysis, and integration of epigenomic and multi-omics data.
